Murmuring- a cacophony of voices- I like the idea of an empty room suddenly filled with the sound of people. I’ve included my grandmother speaking about the war, an actress cooing her baby and I'm even having a chat myself. The cooing has a re-occurring resonance giving the recording a musical tone.
Biography:
Lydia comes from a family of conservatorium trained musicians and composers and playwrites. She studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne specialising in Sound Design. Her design work includes Historia (Chunky Move) and Blowback (Not Yet Its' Difficult).
Lydia is currently Production Coordinator (The Arts Centre) at the Melbourne International Arts Festival.
